>> May 20th, 2002 5/20/02 Me and Mamaluke went down to IPW in FL for their big show of the year. I was in a singles match, title Vs title, Nwa Wildside Jr.strap, which is mine, Vs the Florida Unified Champion, who is Justice. The match was pretty good, we got the five more minute chant which I guess is what we wanted to get. The night before I wrestled Jimmy Rave at the Globe Theater in Atl, GA, which was a really good match with about 15 people there to witness it. DID I TELL YOU I LOVE THE INDEPENDENTS? Next person I faced was Todd Sexton and Jimmy Rave for the my Jr. strap. This match took toll on me that night after Jimmy hit me with gravity killer. Sexton gets the pin and takes my strap. Well, not for long, Sexton's run was a short one. Well, lets say he only won by luck so I had to really beat the piss out of him and made sure he learned a lesson never take me lightly. I walked away 2 time NWA Wildside Jr. champ, then I had to run. Run, that is, to Music Midtown. Music Midtown Rocked! I went all three days. My brother flew in for the weekend. On Friday we saw Butch Walker - he was good, I knew a couple songs he sang, that's about it. Hoobastank was pretty good, I will go get their CD soon. Incubus was very, very, very good. All the songs I knew, so did about 5000 other people. Saturday it started out with Sense Field, who were all right I only knew two songs from them. Then Jack Johnson, after that was Adema. We happened to make our way almost 50 feet from the stage, so of course there were crowed surfers and moshing going around but I didn't tolerate it. I threw one crowed surfer right on his back and he hit the concrete pretty hard. That's what he gets. Saturday ended with KID ROCK. He rules the stage, I cant wait to see him again. He was one of the best performers I have seen. He can sing, play any instrument on stage and he is very entertaining. Kanyon was marking out huge for Kid Rock and so was I. Next time he is in Atl I will def be there. Sunday was Remy Zero - if you watch Smallville they sing the opening for the show, so that was worth seeing. Puddle of Mud is another one that's very good to see. I will be getting their CD soon also. No Doubt was the last band to play. I was surprised I knew all their songs, even though I don't have any of their CDs. They've been a band for a long time now, since prob. my freshmen year in high school. Anyway, they were very good on stage. I cant wait for next year. II went to a MAXIM party a few weeks ago, and yes, there were HOTTIES everywhere. Definitely a party worth going too. Spiderman rules, go see it as many times as you can. Forget about Star Wars, doesn't even come close to Spidey. Till next time, A r c h i v e s . . . |
